Comics Workshop: Storyboards - Wednesday, August 16th from 5PM - 7PM
Students will learn how to create a storyboard, which serves as a visual representation of the story being told. Storyboards are used to support storytelling in many mediums (i.e. comics, television, movies, etc.)
We’ll have story prompts ready for students, but we’d love for students to come with a story already in mind for us to flesh out together. Here are some thought starters:
- What’s the story you want to tell?
- Who is / are the main character(s)?
- What do they want and what do they have to do to get it?
- What’s the tone you are trying to set (i.e. funny, action, serious, etc.)
All materials are included.
Recommended for ages 9-17.
There are 4 comics workshops available this summer. For students wanting the most complete learning on the basics of comics drawing, we recommend attending all 4 workshops. However each workshops is designed as a stand alone class, and students will be able to learn a valuable piece of comics creation without having to have completed any of the other comic workshops.
