THIS CLASS COVERS A WIDE RANGE OF ART MEDIUMS INCLUDING PAINTING, DRAWING, SCULPTURE, COLLAGE, AND other mixed media projects. STUDENTS WILL LEARN THE TECHNIQUES, STYLES, AND HISTORICAL CONTEXT AROUND SPECIFIC ARTISTS, artwork, ART MOVEMENTS AND ART MATERIALS.
Tween General Art is recommended for ages 9-12. Students can join at any time.
Our drawing classes introduce and develop the fundamentals of drawing, including the Elements of Line, Value, and perspective. We often tie-in relevant historical and cultural references, including learning about key artists who used certain techniques and styles. Our goal is to build upon a foundation and help students cultivate their own unique style. Classes are drawing focused with some projects incorporating additional mediums and elements into the artwork.
Tween Drawing is recommended for ages 9-12 & teen drawing is recommended for ages 13-17.
