Concept to Comic - Sundays, Starting March 2nd - April 6th from 12:30-2PM (6 Classes)

$225.00

Perfect for beginner level students between the ages of 9-17 who have little-to-no or some experience in drawing and/or comic drawing. In this 6-class series, students will learn about the process of comics development from initial concept to final comic. Students will be separated into groups by age / skill level. They will learn how to:

  • Create a comic concept

  • Develop a story and create characters

  • Sketch the characters and their actions

  • Create a storyboard

  • Ink the comic

Students will collaborate within a group to create one complete comic book. Each student will contribute one page or more to the overall comic story. Students will each walk away with a professionally printed copy of their group’s full and completed comic book, as well as the original version of the page(s) they contributed to the group’s comic book.

No need to have taken prior comics workshops or programs with us. If you have taken prior comics workshops or programs, please note this program will complement that experience as the group will brainstorm a unique storyline.

Important:
Due to limited availability, we are unable to provide make-up classes for missed classes. Should a student miss a class, we will in our best efforts try to catch students up during regularly scheduled class times. Due to the collaborative nature of this class, limited space, and specialty subject matter, please ensure you can commit to all 6 weeks before signing up. We will not be offering any credits or refunds for missed classes, and we will not be able to provide refunds less than 10 days prior to the start of the initial class.
