Perfect for beginner level students between the ages of 9-17 who have little-to-none or some experience in drawing and/or comic drawing. In this 6-class series, students will learn the most important component of comics, the process of storytelling. Students will be flexing their drawing and storytelling muscles together, conveying a story through pictures and actions, as they complete their own individual comic books.

In this series, students will learn how to:

• Develop a story using prompts from the instructor

• Create characters that drive the story forward

• Sketch the characters and their actions to convey the story

• Ink the comic

Each student will walk away with their own unique individual comic book.

No need to have taken prior comics workshops with us. If you have taken prior comics workshops, please note this program will complement that prior experience, but the content and projects will be new.

Important:
Due to limited availability, we are unable to provide make-up classes for missed classes. Should a student miss a class, we will in our best efforts try to catch students up during regularly scheduled class times. Please ensure you can commit to all 6 weeks before signing up. We will not be offering any credits or refunds for missed classes, and we will not be able to provide refunds less than 7 days prior to the start of the initial class.
