This workshop is designed to teach the concept of negative watercolor painting. In “negative” painting, students define objects by painting the spaces around them, instead of painting the objects themselves directly. Looking at painting through this perspective is a useful skill to practice in painting and drawing. By combining this technique with watercolor, we will learn to create depth and dimension that can be used in landscapes!
