Using black and white portraits as their main inspiration, students will explore a variety of mediums to create a mixed-media collage that either represents a specific message, or is created for the sole purpose of material exploration. Students can play around with different scrapbooking techniques as well as fun and unique ways to incorporate paint onto their collage. They will learn about the importance of composition and how they can incorporate the materials provided to enhance the composition of their own artwork.
