Intro to Watercolor: Still Life - Thursdays, March 27th - April 10th from 6:30-8:30PM (3 Classes)
During this 3-week series, students will learn the basic rules, techniques and principles of watercolor, including painting from light to dark, preserving the white of the paper, and using glazing and washes to convey 3D objects. The goal of this class is to help you develop confidence in watercolor painting and give you the tools and skills to continue painting on your own.
Understanding how to apply watercolor fundamentals and methods can help create an approachable and enjoyable style of painting as you learn how to paint in an efficient way. Students will paint the subject matter displayed in the class picture (which will often be either a still-life or landscape) from beginning to end with hands-on guidance from our instructor.
This particular watercolor painting program will focus on a still life of lemons. In understanding how to approach this particular painting you’ll learn transferable skills to create other still life watercolor paintings in the future.
All materials are included.
